Big wings

Large squarish plate featuring big winged crow. Part of the corvid collection. Inspired by the crows in my garden. One nest was attacked by a host of other crows and I thought the eggs or young were surely done for. The male fought off the attackers and then the mother rose up having shielded her babies who lived to become my garden residents.
Made from red earthenware clay and decorated with coloured slips and a glossy glaze.

Perfect for wall decoration and could be used as a serving plate. Washing by hand advisable.
